Di che cosa ci parla la bellezza?
Essa è solo una bella modella
che in fondo non ci dice nulla
ma ci adorna con la sua biondezza?
O è la più possente delle Muse
che ci dice cose tanto profonde,
tanto sovrumane, che son precluse
alle nostre povere lingue moribonde?

Inside and outside.
What are we inside?
Inside we're just filthy guts
vermicular instincts and ravenous mucous membranes ,
bones and nerves bleeding, inert
fat and smelly droppings.
Only this we're inside,
only this is in the "interiore homine."
Why all the rest ...
everything else is outside.
Outside is the soul, which is our gateway
open to others and to the world.
Outside is the word, sound, music, color.
Outside is light, it 's bright dawn.
Outside is the love that awaits us,
Life is outside and outside is the Sun.
Inside slowly gnaws the Death,
and weaves his machinations
to block one day our eyes
and imprison us forever
in his helpless, dumb, deaf interiority.

What really is important
What really is important,
that has deep meaning,
is not the repeatable and the abstract,
is not the virtual non-existent,
nor the alleged essence
of a ghostly world or the pale concept.
What really is important,
that has a meaning abyssal,
is what now here really exists ,
live, unique, sensual.
It's you, it's me, is it, is she.
It is this rock which stands here excavated,
This your skin reddish and beautiful
this light to us so in tune,
that never again will return the same,
and can never be more relived.
It 's this elusive real world
valuable and worthy of veneration,
and not the fake world and "immortal"
